IS CHAPTER 7 RIGHT FOR ME?Chapter 7, sometimes referred to as a “full” or “complete” bankruptcy”, is usually appropriate for eligible debtors whose assets are exempt and who do not have recent delinquent taxes, or mortgage arrears. Generally, in Chapter 7, you wipe out what you can and deal with any debt that was non-dischargeable.
If you have a home mortgage or car loan, you should also consider filling Chapter 13. |
